Bharti Airtel hits back at Jio, launches special 90-day offer for 4G customers

Bharti Airtel has made its move to combat Reliance Jio's free data offers, with a 90 days free data plan priced at Rs 1,494 specifically for 4G users.

The country's largest telecom services provider, said that the 90 days pack is available for Rs 1495 for existing users and new users will be able to avail it through first recharge of Rs 1494.

Ajai Puri, Director - Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel said, "Customers with 4G handsets generally consume large amounts of data and this proposition is specifically aimed at them."
With this pack these customers can stay online round the clock without having to worry about exhausting their data limits or going for frequent recharges, the company added.
The pack, which will have fair use policy checks in place, is currently available in Delhi and will be launched across other circles over the next few days.

Reliance
Jio has amassed a large number of consumers through its free data and free voice offer for 90 days, along with a free SIM.

The offerings have prompted competition including incumbent telcos to drop data rates by up to 67%. However, the new plan of free data is a fresh response by the market leader to the new entrant, with the intent of retaining its massive customer base.

Due to heavy load on servers, download & upload speed has reduced in some areas. So here are 5 tricks to increase Reliance Jio 4G speed for fast downloading & uploading.

  4. Select Access Point Names (APN)
  5. Scroll down until you see ‘APN protocol’ option > make it IPv4/IPv6

  7. Now save all the settings (Important)
  8. Turn on your data connection & check speed.

#2. For Rooted Phones
  1. Download 3G/4G Speed Optimizer apk on your phone (Google it for download link).

  3. Select the country which has good strength & tap on connect (poor strength = less speed)
  4. It might not connect in first attempt, keep trying.
  5. Once the connection is established, try downloading some files to check downloading speed.

#4. Using Speedify to increase Jio net speed
  1. They have both version (for android & desktop version)

  2. Change band to 40 (2300 MHz)
  3. Set FDD-LTE to 1800/850 MHz
  4. (Optional) Further you can also use Speedify to get even more speed.

Torrentz.eu which was in service since 2003 made an abrupt end shocking the whole community. The final message on the website was 'Torrentz will always love you. Farewell'.

End of an era: Largest torrent search engine Torrentz Shutsdown

One of the world's biggest torrent sites has abruptly shut down

Torrentz, a search engine for finding torrent files has ceased operations, telling users: "Torrentz will always love you. Farewell."
The site, founded in 2003, differs from many other torrent sites (like The Pirate Bay) in that it doesn't host any torrent files itself. Instead, it acts as a "meta-search engine," searching other search engines for whatever the user is looking for.
Torrentfreak, which was the first to report on its closure, says it was the largest meta-search engine for torrents around.

If you go to Torrentz' website now, it has a banner along the bottom informing visitors that "Torrentz was a free, fast and powerful meta-search engine combining results from dozens of search engines."

If you try to search for anything, or click on a link, it is replaced with a new message: "Torrentz will always love you. Farewell."

How to try WhatsApp’s hidden font for developers

The latest WhatsApp beta is out, and the good folks over at Android Police have spotted a few useful new features.

Most fun for the Devs out there, you can now separate lines of code or quotes from the rest of your conversations by surrounding a phrase with ` ` ` (those are back quotes/grave accents, not regular quotes).

The feature works on Android, iOS and the Web. If you’re doing it right, you’ll see a preview of the FixedSys font show up in your typing box (the preview doesn’t show up on the Web for some reason).

FixedSys joins the other font formatting options (bold, italics, and strikethrough) added in March.

Otherwise, WhatsApp is making it easier to leave a voicemail. Instead of giving you the option in your chat window, WhatsApp now have a ‘record a voice message’ button when someone doesn’t pick up.

Finally, WhatsApp has added an alert if it’s take a while for you to download a text message. That happens rarely given it’s usually just downloading text, but it’s useful if you’re in an area with poor signal.

The feature is rolling out to the Play Store if you’re signed up for the WhatsApp beta, otherwise you can grab the APK.

How to download Pokemon Go on Android in India

The Pokemon Go is currently available in US, New Zealand, Australia, UK and Germany.

The Pokemon Go game has been created by Nintendo

Pokemon Go, as we know, is the only topic people are talking about online. Ever since the new game took off, there have been reports on how addictive the AR-based game is, with people posting photos and info pieces of where all they have caught their monsters. The game is presently only launched in the US, Australia and New Zealand, but the amount of downloads have crossed the handling power of the servers, that the international launch had to be halted. The international launch for Pokemon Go has not yet been announced, but it will soon be out.Though the Pokemon Go game is not officially available for download in many countries, here in India, there are other methods that can be adapted for downloading and playing it. While the game is available on various torrents and app hosting websites, some can even download them using a VPN to tunnel through the three countries. Since using the VPN to download the game is usually ineffective, you can download the game from the following links. iPhone users will have to wait for an official release unless they prefer jailbreaking their devices.

The links given below will allow you to download the APK file and sideload it to your Android devices. Simply download the apk file, copy it to your phone’s internal storage and tap on the apk file from any file browser app. the app will install and you are set to go. However, installing third-party apps requires you to enable a setting from your smartphone’s control panel. Head to the security setting on your Android and locate and enable ‘unknown sources’. This will allow you to install an app without Google Play. Different Android versions will have the settings in different locations—some may see it in ‘applications’, while others see it in ‘security’.

Other ways of doing so is by downloading via torrents and third-party app market apps.

Note: Installing third-party apps from any source other than the official app play store could cause security issues and malware infections. Apps from unofficial sources could be tweaked with malware to spy on your data. There have been reports about Pokemon Go being infected with malware and supplied on third-party websites. Do check the reviews, comments and other information before download them. We are not responsible for any damage caused to your smartphone or data by using the above methods. Do this on your own risk.

Google AdSense Cancels Massive Number Of Accounts Over Inactivity

Over the past 24 hours or so, Google seems to have cancelled a massive number of Google AdSense accounts.Emails are going to these publishers that read "Your Google AdSense account was recently cancelled."
Of course, this is causing major panic in the support forums. In fact, when I logged into my own account, I see a violation notice but when I click on it to take action, it says there are no violations.
Here is the violation notice:
When I click through, it says "You have no account level policy violations on record. Thank you!"
There are tons and tons of complaints on this on Twitter and mostly in the Google AdSense Help forums.
A top contributor in the forum implied this is a bug. He wrote:
We (I am talking as Top Contributor who are not Google employees) have no updates on this "Problem".It seems like a big issue and I am sure a TC/Google themselves will update people when we/they have more information.
No word from Google yet on this.
Forum discussion at Google AdSense Help.
Update: Google posted a new message explaining these account closures were done because these accounts were inactive for a really long time. Google wrote:
Some of our publishers received a message from us today regarding an account closure. We’ve closed these accounts because they have been inactive for a while. Please note that active accounts have not been affected.

If you received this message and would like to reactivate your AdSense account, please reapply by logging into your Google Account and then visiting www.google.com/adsense.
